It has been a year and a half since Iran, The United States and five other world powers reached a deal designed to limit Tehran’s nuclear programme. As a result, the United Nations lifted all nuclear-related sanctions and the EU lifted many bilateral sanctions on Iran’s banking and energy sectors. Slowly but surely, progress is being made towards establishing normal trade relations between the UK and Iran.
This exclusive event organised in association with the Department of International Trade is a follow up to City & Financial Global’ s very successful inaugural Iranian Trade Conference, which took place on 11-12 April 2016 in London and at which Lord Price, Minister of State and Investment and the Rt. Hon. Lord Lamont of Lerwick addressed an audience comprising both multinational companies and SMEs from the UK, Europe and Iran, as well as government representatives. It's objective is to provide delegates with an in-depth understanding of the key issues involved in doing business with Iran, including the challenges and opportunities that lifting International trade sanctions is creating, as well as an analysis of the business opportunities in the infrastructure, oil & gas and financial services sectors, both in terms of export potential and direct investment.
The interactive format of this event will offer British companies the opportunity to have a diverse and well-informed dialogue with senior officials from Iranian government agencies and industry leaders.
Key topics include:
CEOs, Managing Directors, Chief Operating Officers, Chief Financial Officers, Chief Strategy Officers, Chief Risk Officers, Vice Presidents of Corporate Communications, Compliance Directors, Heads of EMEA, Heads of Middle East, Heads of International Operations, Sanctions Advisors from global, medium and small companies across infrastructure, oil & gas and finance sectors; investment banks, private equity and asset management companies, law firms, embassies, trade organisations, chambers of commerce, government bodies and academia in the UK and globally.
This conference is accredited by both the Solicitors' Regulation Authority and the Securities and Investment Institute for 6 Continuing Professional Development Points.
