Graham Wright CBE
Recent CISO and Global Head of Digital Risk and Security

Graham Wright CBE is an Independent Non-Executive Director of LCH; a part of the London Stock Exchange Group; and until recently was CISO & Global Head of Digital Risk at National Grid. He joined National Grid from Northrop Grumman where he led their UK cyber and intelligence interests. Prior to that he was Deputy Director of the Office of Cyber Security in the Cabinet Office where he was responsible for leading the planning and resourcing of the National Cyber Security Strategy.

Graham has also acted as the Special Advisor on Cyber Security for the House of Commons Defence Committee and used to chair the UK pan-sector Emergency Executive Committee for Cyber Security.

Clare Dobson leads the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy’s transformational programme on cyber security in the UK energy sector; focusing on working with Critical National Infrastructure stakeholders to ensure that any risks to the sector are understood and addressed; and that cyber incidents are handled effectively.
Clare is an experienced senior civil servant who has worked in several Government departments and has a background in private sector consultancy. Most recently she has worked on a variety of domestic and international energy policy portfolios, including international oil and gas agreements and bilateral energy dialogues, domestic renewables deployment and clean growth.

Peter recently joined Ofgem as their new Chief Engineer. He has over 27 years’ experience in the energy sector, with a variety of leadership and consultancy roles dealing with gas and electricity networks and markets. In his new role, Peter aims to bring a new technical focus to Ofgem, supporting the industry through a period of immense technological change with the decarbonisation of power, heat and transport; with the ongoing need to provide with affordable, sustainable and reliable energy supplies; and the need to foster new technology and innovation in the way customers are served and energy is delivered.

Marc has led security programmes for several large and critical public and private sector security programmes over the last 15 years and prides himself on demonstrating the business value of security. Marc is an advocate of innovation, he embraces change and drives evolution in traditional security assurance approaches in order to achieve business and consumer transformation.

European Network for Cyber Security (ENCS)
Michael John is the Director of Consulting Services at the European Network for Cyber Security (ENCS). The mission of ENCS as a non-profit organization is to improve the resilience of European critical infrastructures. With his work at ENCS, Michael is fully committed to enhancing the utilities’ security and privacy landscape. Michael is leading several projects for ENCS in the domain of Smart Metering, Electric Vehicle and Distribution Automation security.

Additionally, Michael is involved in the European Commission’s work on privacy, data protection and cyber security with in the Smart Grid environment. He is also engaged in several related work groups at Member State level in Europe.

Prior to this role at ENCS, Michael worked at one of the world’s leading Smart Meter manufacturers as a Solution Manager, where he was responsible for ensuring Smart Metering applications are secure by design and fully compliant with the latest EU standards.

Michael has a deep telecommunications and information security background. Prior to working in the utilities sector, he was working as a Network Engineer. Michael holds an MSc in Computer Science.

Simon is the Enterprise Information Security Officer for EDF Energy. Prior to EDF Energy, Simon was the UK Head of IT Security at AXA UK and held a variety of roles within the 12 1/2 years at Dyson - these included the Global Head of IT Security, the Global Head of Infrastructure and Service Delivery and the Director of IT and Technical Services for Dyson US. Simon has a passion for Information Security not to be viewed as a 'black box' but as open and transparent as possible. Simon's strategy on focusing the Information Security teams on being service orientated has been welcomed by all companies Simon has worked for.

Fabien is EDF Energy’s Smart Metering Programme Security Manager. He is responsible for the compliance of live infrastructure operational security. He is also responsible for the security assurance of all projects delivering the additional capabilities for the business to operate in the enduring phase of the GB Smart Metering Implementation Programme.

Fabien is a member of a number of external industry security groups delivering security governance for smart metering.

Prior to joining EDF Energy, Fabien led the security assurance work packages in large system deployments for both the Defence sector and Critical National Infrastructure operators.

Throughout his 16 years career in security, Fabien has contributed to the development of innovative risk assessment approaches and been an advocate of Security by Design.

M. Angela Sasse FREng is the Professor of Human-Centred Technology in the Department of Computer Science at University College London, UK. A usability researcher by training, she started investigating the causes and effects of usability issues with security mechanisms in 1996, and her paper “Users Are Not the Enemy” is the most cited paper in usable security. She has developed human-centred frameworks that explain how people think about security, privacy, identity and trust their interactions with technology. She has been the Director of the multidisciplinary UK Research Institute for Science of Cyber Security (RISCS) since its inception in 2012, and was elected a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering in 2015.

Bob is Chair of The Board at The Cyber Security Challenge UK Ltd, and an independent security Consultant Director and Advisor through Herne Hill Consulting Ltd. He is also the Chair of the Institute of Information Security Professionals (IISP) Accreditation Committee. He is a member of the Digital Trust Advisory Board at PA Consulting Group Ltd

He was the Director for Cyber and Assurance at BT until the end of 2013. Before joining BT in 2005, Bob was the Director of Technology & Engineering and Board Member at the UK’s Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) and held a number of other roles there before that. His career has also included periods with UK MoD (Defence Procurement Agency and Research Agencies), in The Netherlands with The SHAPE Technical Centre, and research at Cambridge University Engineering Department.

Bob is a Chartered Engineer and Chartered IT Professional, a Fellow of the IET and of the BCS, and a Founder Fellow of the Institute of Information Security Professionals (IISP).

Andrew Rogoyski brings a significant breadth and depth of experience in cyber security having worked across technology providers, UK government and academia. He leads CGI’s cyber security practice in the UK. Andrew joined CGI in 2013 from an extended secondment to the UK Cabinet Office's Office of Cyber Security and Information Assurance (OCSIA), latterly supporting UKTI in the promotion of the UK’s cyber companies overseas, following a long career working for a variety of ICT and technology companies. Andrew currently chairs the UK technology industry body techUK’s cyber security group which he created in 2008. He also conceived, and continues to chair the group for the BSI standard for information classification, handling and marking (ICMH).

Vincent Merlin heads up marketing across all international markets for Proofpoint and is responsible for go-to-market strategy development and execution.
He began his career at the CEA (French Atomic Energy Agency) as an R&D engineer, then joined Saint-Gobain, still in the field of research and development. Following these two posts, he spent 5 years at EXFO, a telecom startup, as EMEA Pre-Sales Lead and later as Sales Manager for Southern Europe.
In 2008, he joined Dell EMC in Boston and then in New York to hold various Marketing leadership roles in North America and South America. Before joining Proofpoint, Mr. Merlin was Global Marketing Director at AVEVA for over two years, and brings over 15 years’ experience in marketing and sales for the IT, security and energy industries.
Mr. Merlin graduated with an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth (NH, USA) and holds an engineering degree from the Optical Institute Graduate School in Paris ‘’SupOptique’’.

James is a passionate consultant who has worked within the CNI environment, with a specific focus on Industrial Control Systems, SCADA, and Operational Technology. Experience includes risk management, auditing, and remediation of OT systems, and operational sites, as well as conducting operational site security assessments in line with NCSC and CPNI best practises and embedding OT security awareness and best practises in organisations.  Good analytical, technical and interpersonal skills. 

James is a member of Thales Cyber & Consulting, Energy & Industrial Cyber Team. In this role, he is responsible for conducing cyber assessments of Operational Technology, and Industrial Control Systems. As well as understanding the technical risks and vulnerabilities within OT and ICS environments, and the steps needed to mitigate these.
