Summary

City & Financial is pleased to announce its professional virtual roundtable series, “Senior Managers and Certification Regime: Review of Operational Issues”, which will be taking place daily (weekdays) between 1st and 9th July 2020.

We are delighted that David Blunt, Head of Conduct Specialists, Financial Conduct Authority, has confirmed his participation in this highly topical webinar series.

The series, which builds on the success of the five previous summits that City & Financial Global has organised on the SMCR, has been designed to focus on the key issues that have been identified as being of most concern to banks, asset managers and insurers as they get to grips with living with the SMCR on a day-to-day basis.

The topics covered in this series reflect the findings of the detailed market research that City & Financial Global has undertaken over the last two months among the more than 1,000 delegates that attended its previous events. The seven virtual roundtables in the series will address the needs of senior executives in all FCA and PRA regulated firms.

Roundtable 1 – Sharing lessons learned from the experience of implementation

Roundtable 2 – SMCR and corporate governance

Roundtable 3 – Certification issues: Meeting the FCA’s expectations

Roundtable 4 – SMCR: Investigations & enforcement

Roundtable 5 – Managing breaches of the Individual Conduct Rules under the SMCR

Roundtable 6 – The operational resilience aspects of SMCR

Roundtable 7 – Embedding the principles of SMCR in your firm’s culture

Who should attend

The series will be of particular interest to senior managers, heads of compliance, heads of operations, heads of legal, heads of internal audit and heads of training and education, as well as members of the advisory community, such as lawyers and accountants.
