Summary

Numerous reports have concluded that rolling our adequate electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure is the key element in catalysing EV take-up in the UK. The challenge is how can all the players, public and private sector, work together in order to deliver it in a timely manner so that the Government can hit its targets.

To address this question, a stellar line up of speakers have already confirmed to join us at The UK EV Infrastructure Summit on the 29th of November in London.

Organisations confirmed to speak include:

The Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) • OFGEM • Highways England • The National Infrastructure Commission (NIC) • The Infrastructure and Projects Authority (IPA) • Transport for London • Innovate UK • Polestar • Pod Point • Hyundai Motors Europe • National Grid • Chargemaster • EA Technology • Moixa Technology • Fastned • Zouk Capital • UK Power Networks • Meridian Mobility Technology • SMBC • Octopus Energy • KPMG

The summit will focus on the opportunities and challenges involved in establishing a UK-wide charging infrastructure as part of the transition to zero emission vehicles. Hear insightful presentations from, and informed debates among, senior leading industry experts and government representatives on the key topics involved in the roll-out of the required charging infrastructure. The programme will also look at the wider implications for the transportation, infrastructure and energy industries.

Key topics will include:
  • Updates on EV, including more on the Road to Zero Strategy and ‘the next steps towards cleaner road transport and delivering our Industrial Strategy’
  • The practicalities involved in delivery, including the effects on the grid, the required infrastructure and the role of the private sector in delivering it

  • Making EV investable and the latest developments
  • Adapting business needs under the ULEZ
  • Funding, incentives and support for EV market transition
